Imagine my excitement when I saw that I can get a similar pair of the beautiful heels that Chloe Sevigny wore from Opening Ceremony. Okay, so they don't have as many buckles and they aren't wedges, but, why hello and thank you, Topshop. I think I'll purchase them in the black...
After wearing some very uncomfy boots to university the other day, I found myself in the situation of having to buy another pair of shoes, as I couldn't walk any further. Yes, I am a broke ass student and I should have trudged the extra bit to Primarni, to buy the cheapest pair to see me home, but that wouldn't have been ethical, or correct, would it? Therefore I simply had to buy these beauties... even if they were £60. I'll get more wear from them, after all? As you can tell I am a pro in shoe justification. Anyway, I thought they were very Stella/Chloé-esque, which can never be a bad thing. I love, love, love my new beauties.
Roulette Lace Up Heels : TopShop : £60.00
P.S they look better on, than in this photo from the TopShop website. I'll add a photo soon.
I really shouldn't, but I am, looking through millions of beautiful blogs, including the ones that already exist in my ever-growing reading list. Should I be doing an essay? Yes. But then again if I were doing what I was meant to be doing, then I wouldn't have stumbled across (and fell in love with) these beauties.
I would own a lot more shoes, and have a walk in shoe wardrobe. Forget clothes! How beautiful are these Gianfranco Ferre heels, snapped by the infamous Jak & Jil. Love the detailing on the heel and ankle strap, and gold on the platform. Well, just love them really!
I have always been a huge Stella McCartney fan. Net-a-porter says that she designs with friends Kate Moss and Gwyneth Paltrow in mind. They should add me to that list, for sure. Just check out these beautiful shoes from her Spring Summer 09 collection. The mesh basket sandal. My favourite is the nude pair, however I wouldn't say no the the black. Shall I just carry on dreaming...? Stella, I love you!!
Being nominated for the Swarovski Award for Accessories at the annual CFDA Awards, I feel that Alejandro Ingelmo is in for a good year. Among emerging talent such as Albertus Quartus and Justin Giunta of Subversive Jewellery, the CFDA Awards are definately a place to watch for up and coming designers. Judging by the collections that he has produced since starting up in 2006, Ingelmo is definately one to watch.
It's official : nycjuicebox = shoe addict. British weather and the downhill trek to my university mean I have stopped utilising all those gorgeous heels in my wardrobe. Which also means I have stopped buying them... So to re-ignite my love for ridiculously high heels, I am going to document all those shoes that I can't afford, here, on my shoe blog. Enjoy!
